The lovely people over at Snapixel Mag interviewed us for a nifty feature. Check out the article here!

Today, Common Cam was featured on the Blurberati blog of super cool self-publishing company, blurb. One of the dreams has always been a coffee table book (and we’d been looking at blurb for awhile now for just that).
How cool would that be…

We learned this afternoon that Common Cam was featured on PetaPixel, an amazing (Berkeley-born!) digital photography blog. We’re mega honored to see the project on their site. What an exciting day!

Common Cams prepped for departure 1/25/2011
We are proud to announce that we’ve launched the shiny, new Common Cam website at http://commoncam.org ! All in all, it should look very familiar with some fabulous new renovations:
1. A brand new check-in system!
Please remember to fill out our online check-in form when you get your camera or take your picture so we can track your Common Cam’s journey.
2. Pretty maps!
When other people check-in you’ll be able to see the locations of your camera on a map.
3. Common Cam Blog!
We’ll be posting life-changing updates etc. as the project develops. http://commoncam.tumblr.com
4. Big backer credits!
If you donated $50+, you can find your name on the About Us page. If you’d like to include a link with your name please email commoncam@gmail.com
Many of you have already received your cameras, I know one already made it to Alaska! If you don’t see yours in the mail by the end of the week (unless you are international), please let us know so we can get that all straightened out.
Special thanks to our team web guru, Mr. Luke Elmers, for his amazing hard work (after hours of his real job!). Have a good rest of your Tuesday!
Sincerely,
Kevin and the Team
Over the last 35 days, the Common Camera Project gained 134 backers and raised $2,366 to introduce over 230 Common Cams into the world. I know I speak on behalf of the team when I say this exceeded expectations, and we’re incredibly grateful/excited/overwhelmed by this response. In short, we’re psyched.
There’s plenty of work to be done, and we’ll keep you updated along the way as we prepare the cameras for launch!
If you’d like to be a part of the Common Camera Project, please make sure to pledge on our Kickstarter page (http://kck.st/eT9IfM) by Tuesday, 1/4, 12pm Noon PST. We’d love for you to join us! Over the last month we’ve gained over 115 backers and funds to release over 200 disposable cameras into the world in search of inspiration.
Happy new year,
The Common Cam Fam
